Concrete Roof/Mezzanine Deck Restoration
Project
The City Hall
building in Ann Arbor has a concrete precast deck
for a roof and also has light duty traffic every
day. The roof system below leaked on the facility
for (12) years due to expansion joints, concrete
cracking and failure of membrane.
Preparation
and Coating
- Wire wheel
brushed existing exposed aggregate
concrete finish.
- Power washed
entire surface with 3000 psi water.
- Apply ReNew® Pronto Primer to
concrete and masonry surface to receive
coating.
- Apply 45-60
mils thickness of ReNew Flex Spray® to expansion
joints, cracks and the entire.
- Concrete and
masonry surface to create one monolithic
membrane.
- Anti-skid was
broadcast into the coating for a non-skid
surface.
Results
ReNew® Systems was able to
provide a restored concrete deck which stopped
the roof leaking below, able to withstand
the structures movement and any traffic
imposed. Still offering an architecturally
pleasing appearance. No More Leaks!
